Pictoplasma is an annual conference and festival dedicated to the art and culture of character design. In 2022, I had the opportunity to showcase my project, Tiçamán, at the Pictoplasma exhibition. Tiçamán is a character-based project that explores the intersection of nature and imagination.

Inspired by Brazilian indigenous folklore and mythology, Tiçamán brings to life a vibrant world filled with whimsical creatures and fantastical landscapes. The project aims to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures and the power of storytelling through visually captivating characters.

 

Tiçamáns are a trio of masked guardians who protect the forest and nature from harm. With their captivating sounds and illusion mirrors, they confront intruders, reflecting their inner darkness and making them face the consequences of their actions. This immersive experience serves as a powerful reminder of the delicate balance between humanity and nature, urging us to respect and preserve the environment.
